Our General Dentistry Services

We believe in teamwork when it comes to treating our patients. Drs. Pomeranz and Williams act as the quarterbacks, coordinating the expertise of select area specialists to give you the best possible care.

Exams and Cleanings : We provide routine examinations to help you maintain clean teeth and healthy gums, and to help you identify any potential complications in their earliest stages. In addition to removing plaque from the teeth, a regular visit to our office includes an oral cancer screening.

Root Canal Therapy : If decay advances beyond the outer structure of the tooth to the inner pulp, it may become necessary to remove the pulp in order to salvage the tooth. This procedure, called a root canal, is referred to a trusted area endodontist. During root canal therapy, the dentist drills an access point into the tooth, through which the pulp (which consists of nerves and blood vessels) is removed. Special techniques are employed to remove the pulp from the narrow, complex tooth roots as well. When the pulp is completely removed, the tooth is filled with a rubber-like material. Finally, we provide a custom crown, created in cooperation with an area laboratory, to seal and protect the tooth.

Tooth Extractions : Sometimes decay becomes too severe to salvage the tooth, and extraction is necessary. It is also common to experience complications when wisdom teeth (the molars that develop during adolescence) fail to properly erupt, and extraction becomes necessary.

Sealants : To prevent tooth decay in young patients, we provide dental sealants. These thin plastic coatings are applied to the fine, deep grooves in the tops of the back teeth, preventing the accumulation of food particles and germs. Sealants can last five to ten years, helping patients to retain their dental health while they learn to maintain a daily routine of thorough brushing and flossing.

Fluoride Treatment: Fluoride is a mineral that helps prevent tooth decay by giving your teeth increased resistance to acid. We can help you maintain a healthy presence of fluoride in your mouth with special fluoride treatment. This in-office procedure involves applying fluoride directly to the teeth. Technology

We implement digital technology in our office to provide the best possible care for our patients. All of our restorations are created using digital impressions of your teeth. This eliminates the mess and hassle of outdated methods, and allows us to quickly transmit accurate images of your teeth to our trusted area laboratories. This results in dentures, crowns and bridges that fit your smile with unparalleled precision. We also use digital x-rays, which produce faster, more accurate results than traditional x-rays.
